I
recently had problems with my Tacoma and I had a hunch that it was the
transmission. I decided to take my truck to the Aamco Transmission located at
228 Lancaster Avenue in Frazier, PA. I brought the truck in on 7-6-10 and was
told that I needed a complete rebuild of my transmission and I was given an
original quote of $1800 and told that it would be completed by 7-8-10.
 On
7-8-10 I called to see if my truck was ready and was told that it wasn't ready
and given a new quote of $2860. Leaving me with little choice I decided to go
ahead with the repairs and was told my truck would be ready on Monday 7-12-10.
Monday came and I didn't receive any phone call or update so I called Tuesday
morning 7-13-10 and was told once again that the truck isn't ready, and I wasn't
given any explanation for the delay.
I became suspicious and discovered on the
internet that Gary Boni has a history of doing this and also a history of
repairs not being fully repaired (ripoffreport.com). I called again on
Wednesday to inform Gary that I was not happy with the progress and that I had
read horrifying reviews of him online. I requested that I have all my old  parts given back to me, as he is required to do by
Pennsylvania state law, Gary told me he didn't know if he had the old parts and he tried
to assure me that I had nothing to worry about,
I was then told my truck would be ready Friday 7-16-10.
 Around noon on
Friday 7-16-10 I called and informed Gary that I would be at the shop at the
end of the day to get my truck, and he told me it would be ready. I arrived at
his shop at 4:30pm to find that my truck wasn't ready, at this point I had no
trust or reason to leave my truck there and requested he take it out of his
garage so I could have it towed to a more responsible repair shop.
 Gary
promptly changed his mood into an angry threatening tone and told me I would
have to pay the full amount of $2860 in CASH, for an unfinished and uncompleted
job. I told him I didn't have the cash, but that I could pay with a credit
card. He said that was not allowed and began to close his shop, nearly hitting
me with the garage bay door, as well as locking me out of the building.
 I was
forced to call the East Whiteland Police to have them come to shop so I could
get my truck back. Gary didn't open the door for the police for about 7-10
minutes but eventually let them in and after being told he had no choice, he allowed me to pay with a credit card.
When I finally got my truck out of the shop there were oil stains all over my
interior, on my seats and dash board, as well as the truck still not working.
This whole process put me through enormous amounts of stress and emotional
strain and in the end I paid $2800 dollars for a repair that wasn't done
properly and my truck is still broken. I hope Gary gets his business shut down
so other people don't have to go through the ordeal that I went through.
