This is concerning something that happened 15 years ago and it seems that Ammco has not cleaned up their act.

I had a transmission repaired by Ammco and the repair was fine except when the traansmission cooling lines were re-installed the did not route them correctly. One of the lines rubbed a hole in its self and the transmission fluid pumped out on the ground. I dicovered this after driving 300 miles and the transmission began to slip this was a week after the rebuilding of the Trans mission.

So, yes I believe the gentlman whose fan was distoryed because he thinks that the transmission repair person didn't tighten the bolts back-up properly. They removed or moved the engine to remove the transmission. This discussed me I am a mechanic by trade although I have not work as a mechanic persay in twenty-five years. What kind of persons are they hiring and just whaat are their skill levels.

By the way the Ammco shop manager told me that they would not cover any problems with the transmission that may occur do to the fluid being pumped out because of the hole that got rubbed in the line that the Ammco shop re-installed incorrectly. The shop no longer is open it closed a couple of years after that. This happened in 1986. Seems it left a lasting impression, you think?
