I was searching the Internet for a Teacup Yorshire Terrier as a suprise Christmas present for my mum. I used google search engine which gave me a couple of listing, I noticed one that was in Leicestershire and I thought that as my brother lives there it would be easy for collection.

I emailed the address given telling them that i was interested in one of their pups and that my brother lives local and would be able to collect the dog personally. They replied saying they had relocated to Givan in Scotland and they would deliver straight to my door and I would then pay them 250 on arrival. The dog was to be boarded on a plane to my nearest airport and would be on the 8am flight monday morning, I had taken the day off work to make sure I was avaliable if they needed to contact me. I was told I would be contacted by the Transportation company when the pup had arrived at Birmingham Airport. This, I was told would be around 9:30 am.

The call didn't come and I was concerned. I contact the number they had given me and was told that more tests had to be carried out at the airport to make sure the dog wasn't a danger or had any diseases, and once I had made the payment of 250 the dog would board the 2:30pm flight. I had an email off the transportation company saying that the fight was at 2:30 pm and i needed to send the money via moneyGram to Cameroon.

I rang the seller and told him that i was worried about being scammed by the transport people and he assured me that everything was ok. I went to the post office and paid the money, then i sent email to transportation company giving the reference number of the moneygram. They replied saying i would receive conformation ot 2pm of flight details etc. They then sent me another email 3mins later saying that they were going off-line and would be contacted at 2pm.

I received no e-mail or phonecall at all so I tried to contact them and was tolds I would be receiving an email shortly. I didnt get one so I callled the owner of the pups who said there was a problem with the insurance papers and that the dog didn't have any insurance and they were trying to sort it out.

I then did a bit of investigating on the net and came across a Ripoff Report about the transportation company.
I went back to the post office to try and get my money back but it was too late.

An hour later the transportation company emailed saying they needed 580 to insure the dog as they cant travel without insurance and I would get the money back. Needless to say I told them where to go, and I also sent an e-mail to the seller of the pup telling them where to go too!
