Aaron Denton Dba Denton Custom Construction signed written contract with Aaron Denton, gave him $2,038.00, half of total bill, he took off with my check, never called again, now states he's going out of business, he's a fraud, a liar, a cheat and a thief Loveland Ohio
On October 17, 2006, I signed a written contract with Aaron Denton of Denton Custom Construction out of Loveland, Ohio. He also signed the contract. I gave him a check for $2,038.00 which was half of the total cost to put a split rail fence with a wire liner in my backyard to contain my two dogs. He stated at that time that he would check with the zoning office and get a permit and pay the fee. He also stated that the fence would be done by October 31st.
He called on Oct. 18th or 19th to tell me he checked with the Anderson Township Zoning office, that they wanted a site map of the property, and $50.00 for the permit. He stated he would take care of this matter.
I didn't hear from Aaron Denton again. I called him on Oct. 30th twice and left messages about the status of my fence. I called Oct. 31st and Nov. 1st. He didn't answer his cell phone, but I left messages about the fence. I then called the zoning office myself. They claimed no one had asked about a fence on my property or paid for a permit.
I have called Aaron at least once or twice a day to ask about getting my money back. Since he doesn't answer his cell phone, I have left messages. I emailed him and he stated his business is going out of business, but I would get my money back. I called him on Nov. 9th from my dad's phone in Kentucky. Aaron answered, I asked about my money, he stated he would get it to me by the end of the week, or at least by Nov. 30th. He is putting me off.
I contacted ServiceMagic, the company who supplied me with Denton Custom Construction. They claim he has been in business since 1985, and has a 4 and a half out of 5 star rating. This guy is only 27 years old, he had told me in a converstion, so he is taking the name of his dad's company and reputation to rip people off. They also state that they screen all contractors for licenses, etc. I filed a complaint with them, the the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office. I have contacted a lawyer to send Aaron Denton certified letters to all three addresses I have for him and his supposed company. His dad's address at 114 Wall St, Loveland, Ohio 45140, and the 603 Hanna Ave. address of Loveland, Ohio 45140 and the P.O. Box 311, Loveland, Ohio 45140.
