Complaint Review: Aaron Kwan

Aaron Kwan has been scamming people for 10+ years.  He claims to be a venture capitalist focused on clean tech, claims to own luxury condominiums / exotic cars around the world, pretends to jetset on private planes - but is actually unemployed.  Aaron Kwan will often use details of an actual respected venture capitalist, Allan Kwan as his own, fictional life - http://www.oakinv.com/team/california/allan-kwan - including claiming to have attended Wharton Business School amongst other lies.

Aaron Kwan's actual means of sustaining himself is in scamming via eCommerce and stealing from friends / family.  Most of his scams are through luxury goods sales / trades, such as high-end watches and glasses.  Not all his friends are aware of his behaviour; he even sometimes steals their names and identities as his trading aliases.  He has previously stolen his sister's email address and name to perform a watch scam (see scammer report on WatchNet below).

Sometimes he asks for direct payment from the buyer without an escrow such as a wire transfer, and mails out a package that is weighed to be the same as the item the buyer supposedly purchased - so the tracking slip looks correct.  However, the package would not actually contain the item that the buyer paid for, or the item the buyer receives is a blatant fake.

Aaron Kwan befriends wealthy friends who have no reason to doubt him and will even often pay for his meals, drinks, travel.  He jumps from one group of friends to the next as soon as they find out he is a fraud.  He uses his friends' eBay or PayPal accounts to continue his scams under the guise of a legitimate seller with a positive buyer satisfaction rating.

He launched an "app" in the Google Play store as part of his SEO tactic in attempt to bury previous rip off reports and scammer reports on various forums.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aaron.kwan&hl=en  The app description reads:  "One of the most successful businessmen in the world today is Aaron Kwan born in 1980 in Toronto, Canada. This is an Official App for Aaron Kwan, and have all the information related to Aaron Kwan."  

Aaron Kwan moved to Hong Kong from Canada.  His prior address was 28 Yellow Birch Crescent, Richmond Hill, ON, Canada.  Please beware.
