Complaint Review: Aarons Rentals

Aarons Rentals damanged my hardwood floor and damanged product the day they brought it out Ripoff Greer South Carolina

On the day Aarons Rentals delivered the refrigerator I leased to my home I am renting they not only damaged the refrigerator but damaged my newly redone hardwood floor on the home I just moved into. The delivery guy acted as if it did not happen and made no comment as I sat there and watched. I called Aarons only to get the run around about having the item replaced and my floor fixed. I ended up calling the corporate office because nothing has been done. The DL made it out to be this is something that takes time and the SM should be in contact with me. Had I not called them, I would not have heard anything. I spoke with Melissa last week and she said I think I have your refrigerator ordered but let me look. She then says o yes, it should be here on Thursday. She was to call me back on Wednesday about my floor being repaired. (She needs 3 estimates and has yet to get them) Funny I already have. She later tells me I will have the refrigerator delivered (Thursday). Not only did not I hear from her on Wednesday there was no delivery on Thursday. She called me Friday and said it will be delivered Saturday. Guess what no delivery and no phone call. The day I called her, I KNOW she just ordered a replacement and tried to play it off, it had not been on order. I am getting the run around about getting my floor fixed and about getting a new refrigerator. I can not get anyone including the DL to do anything.

I finally got paid for the damange Aarons deliverly guys made to my floor. This company is the worst company in the world to try and get something taken care of. NO ONE will give out numbers to corporate and when you finally get a number after many hours searching on the internet you still come to a dead stop.

This took almost 7 months to resolve and many grey hairs. I was lied to by General Mangers and District Managers and once you turn in a complaint, if you have not called them back every day after 24 hrs, they assume it is resolved (CRAP) I made them come and get the refridge once I had the check in hand and the check had cleared...(and the check was not even made out to me, the one who put in the complaints and the one who paid for the repairs even though my name was on the invoice)

I do not recomend Aarons to anyone and if I could afford to send my washer and dryer back, I would!

I will admit Simpsonville Office is much better and Clarance the Manager is wonderful but as for the Greer Location. Stay Away.

I am a former manager and had to pay for a floor that was damaged under a previous GMs tenure. It took over 5 months to get the check approved , the cust got approved by complaining with the regional manager and then contacting loss prevention dept at the corp office

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Get a couple of estimates to repair/replace your floor, then go to small claims court and sue Aaron's. That will get their attention and may result in the resolution of your case. If not, present your evidence at trial and hopefully you will win.

I asked Aarons to pick up our side by side refrigerator on the 15th of this month. they had damaged it and didn't offer to do a thing about it. so I went out and bought another one that was cheaper (and a better product, it is a top of the line LG).

Anyhow, I had trouble getting them out here. they called consistently and it was just the machine recording so there wasn't much we could do to explain to them that they need to come get the stinking refrigerator because we don't want it anymore....and finally I get someone and we tell them to please come get the stupid thing, well 3 days later (today) they finally show up and pick it up.. in the process they damage my new linoleum (wood look) floor, the pantry door, the crown moulding, and the outside door and jamb getting the stupid thing out of the house.

They didn't even bother to say a word to my father who was present when it happened. They did not say I am sorry or offer to make sure that it was fixed not even when he pointed out the damage to them. They just looked at him like they didn't know what he was talking about.

I called and left a message with corporate office so we will see what happens now, I have pictures of the damage to the home. My house was new November of 2005 so it isn't yet 2 years old and now I have all sorts of damage for a stupid refrigerator that never worked right even though it was new and now I have to face them getting my washer and dryer which I now will not keep because I was told it was only three months old and come to find out it is 2 years old and the dryer has been on the fritz twice since I bought it.

No I won't go through this again but they will have to fix damage before they come get the washer and non working dryer (that btw were recalled items from Maytag)
