Aarons rent to own company is a down right disgrace to our communities. They excessively overcharge for furniture, electronics and other items at least ten times the actual price. They totally take advantage of people who  can't out right make big purchases and then if you miss a payment they want to keep calling and harrassing you or keep coming out to your home like you would actually let them in.  One of the managers actaully asked to come into my home to do a search.... that has to be against sometype of laws.  Be aware when you rent from them they can be very rude on the phone when your dealing with the management in this company.

BEWARE OF AARONS......RIP OFF

First of all they are NOT forcing you to purchase a single thing.  If you think their prices are too high...go someplace else.  If you say there is no place else..well why is that the fault of Aaron's?  Where is it written that a company must charge a certain amount of money and give anyone credit?  The answer of course(much to the dismay of many sub-prime borrowers such as yourself)..NO WHERE.

It's also funny how you say they "take advantage" of people who can't outright make a purchase.  Well there are two things wrong with that statement.  The first is that if they were not a sub-prime borrower who has shown they can not handle credit..they could get credit at more main stream places.  The second is that you follow that with a statement how they "harrass" them when they are late.  So when a person doesn't make their payment on time..who is taking advantage of whom?

Then you go to the good old standby of the sub-prime borrower.."oh they must be breaking the law".  Well sorry to tell you but in this case the only law that may be broken is the one you are breaking.  You see when you got the items from Aaron's you made a LEGAL agreement to pay them back a certain amount of money at specific times.  So by being late you are breaking that agreement.  Next, they hold a security interest in the items meaning that until you pay it off 100% you do not own it..they do.  So just like when you don't pay your car, they have the right to reposess the merchandise if you don't make the payments to them.

Also, they did not come to your house at 2AM, breaking your windows and coming inside to "search"..they ASKED you if they could.  This is about as far away from illegal as you can get.   Now, of course if they do come at 2AM breaking down your door...then you better call the police.

In short...pay your bill On-Time and you don't have to worry about how rude they are.
