Aasent Mortgage Corporation, William Grand, Kevin O'Neil, Becky Sipsy, Nathan Rouse Utterly devoid of any morals and rampant liars and thieves Atlanta , Georgia

I worked for Aasent mortgage for 8 months and during the time that I worked there I adamantly defended the company to ex-employees who were suing the company for money that was owed to them. Employees who were always fired before loans were getting ready to fund and claiming that they got fired because Bill Grand didn't want to pay them the commissions and wanted to hold onto it. I thought at first this was the result of comments made by disgruntled employees. I was loyal to the company and its owner and worked very hard although making very little money due to the fact that Aasent horribly overcharges its customers on junk fees. Many of the loans would fall out when customers spoke to another lender and realized that they were being overcharged and taken advantage of.

In April of 2010 I was called into the HR office on the Thursday before Easter and was told by Becky Sipsy the HR person that I was being terminated for poor work performance. This was a few days before I had three loans that were going to signing. I was utterly shocked that I was being let go when just one day before that I was told by one of the partners of the company (Carl Elliot) that I was a real asset to the company. I told Becky Sipsy, Nathan Rouse and Kevin Neal that it appears that you are letting me go because I have three loans that are going to sign and Bill Grand just doesn't want to pay me for the commissions on the loan. When I said that to Mrs Sipsy she simply said, "ok." I left the building telling management that I wanted the money for the loans and this was unbelievable that they would pull this. Mrs Sipsy simply said, "ok." I left and demanded the money that I was owed in both wages, overtime and commissions. I was told that they owed me nothing because I had taken out an advance of 1000 dollars and that they held that back.. First off I only owed 733.00, they owed me 40 hours of overtime, my wages for the previous two weeks and about  5000 in commissions on one loan that did sign which I confirmed signed and funded.

I called the Georgia Dept of Labor and filed a complaint against the company and Becky Sipsy lied to the Dept of Labor and told them that I  had actually quit and that the loans that I had in my pipe line had not signed before I quit that Thursday. She then said that I owed the company 733.00 dollars for an advance that I took and they witheld that rather then pay me. Uforturnatly the Georgia Department of Labor are not allowed to address the commissions owed to me but can only deal with wages and overtime. I have to sue this dirtbag to get my money now.

The point is that the owner of the company hires people and when they get loans in the pipe he will let them go so he doesn't have to pay them. I saw this time and time again during my short tenure with the company. They insist that loan officers have the customer write a glowing review of the company when a particular loan does fund and they post it on the internet. Any negative reviews that appear, William Grand has a computer person remove it. Just google the company and you will see all of the "glowing reviews." They are all bogus in that, the customer is just about forced to write the review so the loan will fund. Customer were alwasy terribly unhappy because of the length of time the loan took, which on the average was three months. Again any negative reviews are taken down immediatly by William Grands computer person and there are lots of them. Think about it, even the best companies have bad reviews by some people, you will find none or very few on Aasent, because that is how Bill Grand wants it.

I have been in the mortgage business for 12 years and not once have I worked for someone who is a complete lying snake, who rips off his own employees for monies that are owed to them. He allows sales people to work in states that they are not licensed in, he horribly overcharges every single customer. This is the worst mortgage company that I have ever been associated with. I would not do a loan with them. I wouldn' t work for them. I hope one day that someone prosecutes William Grand for his terrible unethical and illegal business practices.

This guy is so bad that he fires me, then says that I quit so I can't even file for unemployment. I have a son who is autistic and my wife and I are barely making it. The 5000 dollars that he owes me would not have broken him at all. What a total scumbag. He's a  liar and greedy disgusting individual. I watched person after person get fired from Aasent or quit and Bill Grand  wouldn't even pay them their last week's wages. He knows he can get away with it becaue the Georgia Dept of Labor is so understaffed and weak that they can't do much. The end result is that Becky Sipsy and  the owner Bill Grand lied to the US Goverment and said they owed me nohing. That I quit and owed money for an advance. This was a total lie and Mr. Grand is going to do this to the wrong person some day and wish he had not. In the mean time I will pursue this dirtbag in a court of law.
