ABC 6 News Columbus Ohio is a joke. They have a program called 6 on your side. But they are not really on your side.. Here is why.

Recently Two High Ranking Franklin County Sheriff Officers were involved in Fraud-theft and forgery. Abc 6 news broke the story and the Sheriff Zach Scott confirmed they committed these crimes. But because ABC 6 has close ties with the Franklin county Sheriffs Office they even use them on their show segment called Wheel of Justice.

How can a News station have their reporters put commercial up asking the public to report fraud- theft and forgery yet when Law enforcement does this they dont follow through. We decided to put the question out to news reporters on all 3 of our local news stations.

HERE IS THE QUESTION WE POSED TO  REPORTERS..
As a news reporter do  you think if police officers are involved in theft- fraud- forgery they  should remain on the job or be prosecuted like anyone else who commits the  crime?

What does being a  news reporter have to do with the subject of your question?

Does it make any  difference if I’m a reporter, a corporate leader, a politician, or a  construction worker?

Are we not all bound  by the same laws, regardless of our profession?

If they’ve committed a crime, they should obviously be  prosecuted. Do you have information that  this is happening? I’d be interested in  hearing more.

Robert,

As any employer, one option  is to put that person on administrative review or leave while the charges are  investigated…and if there’s evidence, then that person should be prosecuted to  the fullest extent of the law, just like anyone else…innocent until proven  guilty….

Robert,
Of course they  should be prosecuted.
Do you have information we need to  know?

I think  (and so does the law) that police officers should be investigated like any  other citizen--and if accused should be granted due process. If convicted,  the specifics of the crime would factor into whether I think they should  lose their job. Not likely for any of those three  crimes.

Note....

We were unsure  as to his meaning on the last sentence .."Not likely for any of those three  crimes." So we wrote him again to get  his meaning..

Answer..---Sure--I  meant it doesn't seem likely they would keep their jobs.

Good morning  Robert:

Thank you for reaching out to us about this question.  May I ask why you pose it?

And yes, a  crime is a crime, no matter who commits it.

Hope you  continue to watch 10tv.

My  best,

Hi  Robert,

Got your email this  morning since I’m on the AM shift.

I think you’ve  discussed this also with my husband, Marcus?

Hopefully, he’s able to  help you out with any needs you have.

As you know, we’re not  always able to share our opinions as journalists… but I would think that if  there was indeed evidence of alleged theft, fraud, forgery that yes they should  be prosecuted and given a fair trial.

As  everyone can see most journalists agree they should be prosecuted like everyone  else. SO WHY HAVE THEY ALL SAT BY AND  WATCHED THESE PEOPLE COMMIT CRIMES AND DO NOTHING TO FORCE THE ISSUE.  They  chase people down everyday to expose wrong doing but when it comes to the  Franklin county sheriffs office they do nothing..
HERE IS A LINK  TO THE STORY OF THE DEPUTYS WHO COMMITED CRIMES..

If you look at #5 above- Bob Kendrick who is ABC 6 news top anchor man. He even says they shoud be Prosecuted... Do we see the political connection is so deep they cant even do the news correct????

We decided today to ask their new Investigative Reporter Brooks Jarosz..

Brooks Jarosz

Hey Laura,

Yes, law enforcement officers should be held accountable just as you or I would be held accountable if we committed fraud or theft.

If you're found guilty of a crime, typically that weighs into the decision of whether or not you will keep your job. It depends on the circumstance but if a cop was stealing I don't think he could be found as an effective law enforcement officer.

Hope that helps.

Brooks

CAN WE SEE HOW BAD THIS IS... THEY CANT EVEN COVER THE NEWS WHEN IT COMES TO FRANKLIN COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICIALS BREAKING THE LAW AND STEALING FROM THE PUBLIC...

Is this another case of Bob Krutko stirring things up? Having another slow day at home, were ya? I see Chicken Little got mentioned... but "the sky is falling" is just the START of how Robert Krutko operates! For him, its - "The sky is falling, It everyone's fault but mine and I'm the victim!" Looks like out of EVERYONE you mention here, Bob, YOU are the only one who spent actual jail time. These reporters have actual jobs. Stop bothering them.

Even if they ARE Law enforcment, they ARE still American Citizens and in America you are innocent until PROVEN guilty. Im not there to see all of this unfold, but from your own post it looks like alegations and not a conviction. Until there is a ruling then WE MUST give them the benifit of the doubt. Just because Chicken Little screams "The Sky is falling!!" Doesnt mean it is. That goes for ANY Citizen of the US. EVERYONE is Afforded this right. Maybe wait until they get convicted then blast them.
