TOBY KEITH: Jilted by Jennings
Toby Keith won't perform "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" on ABC's planned Fourth of July special, Music Across America. About a week ago, Toby's representatives were told he was set for the show, but it appears he's been dealt a different hand courtesy of Peter Jennings. We're told the news anchor objected to the lyrical content of Toby's song and had him removed from the show. Toby had already rearranged a couple of other commitments to accommodate the TV special.

I know different anchor but just as strange.
Were you ripped off because you will not view Toby Keith on the upcoming ABC special? Are you Toby Keith using an alias, or just a superfan who feels the pain of Toby Keith?
I need to know if I as an American should be outraged by the actions of Canadian (not that there is anything wrong with that) super anchor Peter Jennings.
I'm still upset those evil dirtbags at ABC canceled Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley.

Well ABC had already booked Toby and Toby had already rearange his schedule to accomadate ABC. Peter Jennings didn't like the lryic content when Peter himself has had issues on his own show that may offend people. Why is it the News Media has a opinion the News Media should be imparshel. The Media has guided America so much over the years.
Take for issist the amtrax scare the News Media
start that about a week after 9-11 when they start saying well about chemical weapons.
Peter Jennings is from Canada nothing here against Canadians. But this is United States Freedom celebation. Canada has Canada Day. Personally I do not think that is right for one person the network to decide whats right and whats wrong. And ABC should have checked with all there people to make sure that was alright to book Toby before asking him and the turning around and cancel him. In Toby's song there is only one word that is questionable and you here that word on TV all the time.
