Complaint Review: Abe's Pools Spas

Abe's Pools Spas & Fountains 15235 N Cave Creek Rd,.  Phoenix, AZ 85032. (602) 993-0643. I have an Ultra Flow Pool Pump and Filter assembly.   On 09/05/2018 I returned to Abe’s Pools and Spas to purchase a used base as I previously purchase not long ago as the previous part burst it’s side open. Expecting a deal from a lower tank that should have lasted at least 6 years, I ended up with the shaft of Charging me $175.00 for a part that is most probably over 15 years old in which I have no choice but to file complaints with the BBB, Rip Off , my B of A credit card services and his business license. Because of severe health issues I almost collapsed in his store that day and upon having pleasant conversations with ABE speaking of my health issues and expenses of 250 K and the pool filter and the D E Filter Grids in which he wanted $200.00 for and I told him that I had to do everything possible to save MONEY and delivered to me free shipping would only cost me $84.55, thinking that ABE would meet me with a discount maybe of $110.00 or so, instead he walked away angry and told his worker to slam me  with this overprice that even his worker I could see his face as though Abe really is socking it to you. I pointed out to the worker upon placing it in my vehicle that it had small cracks on the O-Ring base, (2) this could possibly stop it from sealing , the worker said it was not a problem. Well, he was wrong because I had to remove the upper filter half twice in hopes to seal this filter in which I finally purchased a tube of Silicone to seal this finally. This is because of those 2 cracks. This is a 2-3 hour job, But because of my weal condition I had not put this back together from 09-06-18 until 09-17-18 in which it leaked twice. I finally finished this on 09-25-18 because of the 2 cracks. So I took it upon myself to see reviews and ABE’s Pool’s and Spas has a bad reputation for incomplete service jobs. As stated this part is mostly 15+ years old and is not worth more than $35.00. I am requesting Abe’s Pool’s and Spa’s to refund me minimum $125.00 to $140.00.
