Ordered the LG OLED65C6P HDTV from their web site. The shipping was free, even the wall mount included in the sale.
Received a phone call from a rep next day stating now I have to add handling and insurance fees. Otherwise the processing will be 2 weeks and although there are 5 TV in stock, they are not guaranteed to ship.
I am cancelling and buying locally.
I purchased from Abes of Maine before and they were quite reliable but it looks like they became a scam site lately.

I ordered camera from Abe's of Maine. Received email order confirmation. I also received email to call 1-800-992-2237 ext. 272 to talk to Jeff. I did. Jeff asked me what battery pack I want to buy with camera. I told him that I can use battery from my older Sony camera. I also ask him question about camera I ordered. It was just simple question "Is the camera I ordered International version or version manufactured for US market" (since this is not mentioned on company web page). He obviously did not like my question and start to argue with me. As the result he canceled my order for no reason. Very unpleasant experience.

As many of the reviews state I purchased a LG 4k television online. The next day I received a phone call advising I had purchased the European model which would not work in the US. They tried to convert me to the US model which would work and cost $ 400 more. All of this was nothing more than BS and a bait and switch scheme. Of course I canceled. This outfit is dishonest and should not be dealt with no matter what price they might offer. I am sure they will do anything to cheat a customer. BUYER BEWARE.

Abes of Maine - they run a scheme called “Predatory free capitalism” - it's a terrible inhumane deplorable practice, they're going to sucker you in with low prices and then they're going to rip you apart and then they going to upsell you on things that should of been involved. Abes of Maine is what’s wrong with society. If you’re wondering what is wrong with society, this is one company that is using deplorable’s business practices to do whatever they want and rip people off!
