Complaint Review: Able Housing

 I was contacted by Valerie Gomez about a temporary trailer in Lower Salem Ohio that needed inside work done right away. The family had been living in a travel trailer that had to be returned. Valerie said it was urgent that the work be done as soon as possible so she agreed upon an hourly wage plus materials. I assessed the trailer, purchased materials, hired a helper and had the trailer livable in two days. The home owners were happy with my work. I then sent in all the required paperwork and pictures receiving email confirmations that everything was good. When I did not receive payment within 30 days I contacted Valerie Gomez. The first few calls Valerie told me she would call me right back and tell me what was going on and well she never did. I waited two weeks and then started contacting her again. Every time I spoke to her about not being paid yet she replied " Hold on I'll check....It sitting on the bosses desk unsigned....And I'll call you back when I find something out". An my favorite " My boss is on vacation. I'll have him sign it when he gets back and send it out". All lies! It's been over four months now and I'm still NOT PAID! I'm out $1730! $1000 of it is my own money for materials! This is not a way to run a business and Ables Housing, Valerie Gomez and all the people who work for Ables Housing should be ashamed of themselves. On a good note the home owner since then hired me to do more work for them that Ables was supposed to do but didn't.
