Able Services Restoration was contacted when a pipe froze in my house and water ran through my house for a week while I was out of town. They turned the heat up to 80 degress with no dehumidifiers running for a week causing additional damage to my house and property.

They refused to provide estimates to my insurance company or myself once they started the work.

After finally getting the dehumidifiers into my house, they had them running with large storage bins that had filled with water sitting in the basement instead of emptying them. They did not discard the bins of water nor the contents of the refrigerator. My house started to smell so I had to discard the water and spoiled food.

What they call "packing" was actually just placing things in boxes, unwrapped and with no regard for fragile items or items of value. Items were broken when I unpacked them. They placed wet tools in with dry tools and everything ended up rusted. They placed wet clothes in with dry and they all were ruined. It was pathetic.

Mr. Robert Goshorn and employees lied repeatedly to me and placed a lien on my property even though he knew he would get his money from the insurance company; and while trying to resolve this issue I lost the buyer I had for the house which I had decided to sell as is.

Mr. Goshorn contracted with Planes Moving and Storage to move my possessions that were not ruined by the water to my new house. Mr. Goshorn said I did not need to be at my old house since he would have someone there to oversee the movers and they would make sure everything went okay.

The "movers" kicked in my front door after being told not to open it due to the swelling caused by the water. They broke the handle off the back storm door. They knocked my furniture against the woodwork and destroyed several items. One large storage cabinet which cost $300 literally flew off their truck due to their unprofessional actions.

No one from Able notified me of what the movers did at my old house.

None of my items were protected during the move and they caused approximately $9,000 in damage to my furniture. Since Able Restoration contracted with them I had to submit the damages and estimates for repair to them.

After waiting for over six months for some resolution to the damage; I was told the scratches and nicks to my furniture were caused by the water that ran through my home. I would like to know what kind of water can scratch and gouge furniture! Upon finding out Planes refused to pay for the damage they did to my property; I found out Able did not insure my property properly and neither of the companies accepted responsibility for the damage.

After everything was gone through that was moved to my new house, I discovered quite a few items were "missing" and no one from Able will tell me what happened to them. We are not talking just small items - some of my furniture never made it to my new house. There was no storage involved and when I requested the inventory from the move, I received no response.

The inventory of items they discarded was a joke. They did not list half of what they discarded.

Able Services Restoration and Planes Moving and Storage have probably cost me thousands of dollars due to their unprofessional work ethics and performance. This is not to mention the turmoil and aggravation they caused me.

Also fyi - Planes Moving and Storage is a subsidiary of United Van Lines. I even wrote to the company CEO but did not receive any help.

I would NOT recommend Able Services Restoration or Planes Moving and Storage to anyone! No one deserves to be treated the way they treat peope and their possessions.

The complaints in this report were not dealt with. In fact I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and found out if a company does not wish to respond to certain issues and they are a member, the BBB just closes the case out administratively.

Able did not even respond to the damage done to my property or the missing property. I ended up having to file another insurance claim with my insurance company for the damaged and the missing items. I would like to know how this was fair since Able was responsible for my possessions.

Mr. Goshorn can say my house was a mess, which it was, because I was sorting through everything to get rid of things I no longer wanted or needed before I moved to my new house.

I have witnesses who can attest to the way things were "packed" and the damage to my items. They know the condition of my property before this incident. I can even today show you clothes that are discolored because wet clothes were thrown in with dry clothes. I can show you the scratch in my heirloom quality brass footboard which cannot be repaired.

I can assure you Mr. Goshorn would never accept anyone treating his property the way they treated mine.

You had better start checking the facts of a complaint report before you allow it to be flailed all over the interent.

The complaintant has issues that have not been ignored but dealt with in the fairest ways possible.

I will not use this space to derrogate or criticize her.

She is being unreasonable and excessively critical.

I believe this is a classic case of trying to take advantage of a situation.

If anyone is interested in the truth, you mail email me @ ableservices@yahoo.com and I will give you a detailed explanation of the circumstances and send you photographs of the the complaintant's home before our work began and you can decide for yourself.
