ABT Electronics Paid for brand new fridge 1st one flooded my kitchen 12 hours after installation with new waterline 2nd same model brought next day flood 3rd fridge brought next day different model Illinois ne Glenview Illinois
I went to ABT to buy new fridge ordered fridge same day had delivered 4 days later installed with new water line. 6 hours later water was leaking from ice maker I call ABT.im told it will be okay just put towels down. next a.m. my kitchen completely flooded running down basement from water pouring down the base boards I get towels and bucket to clean. open freezer flooded all food ruined place bucket in freezer 8:30 ABT opens I call 10/15/o4 Hi I had a fridge installed yesterday my kitchen is flooded how can you help.I cant get someone there today I can send a repairman.this was installed yesterday i think a repairman would be helpful at a later date but i did just get this not even 24 hrs ago when can they get here.
No one will be in your area today.Yes there is.No theres not.really well you are lying to me my aunt is getting washing machine at noon today 6 blocks from me.Well they only install washers.I can send someone to turn water off later today bring new fridge put in your garage maybe one day this week we will install.absolutely not.ok we will bring today.thank you.
2nd fridge came i told the drivers a bit of the situation and they looked shocked i thanked them for coming out of their way i appreciate it very much but i cant believe on the phone i was told no one in your area because i know in about 3 hrs my aunt is having a washer intalled by washer installers. drivers said oh whats the last name i told them and they said oh we have that i said you cant put mine in you only know washers they said we have to know how to install everything.i was lied to again but i dont care bacause fridge 2 is here.next a.m. kitchen flooded.
i called and was told that this model has a manufacturers defect already known to them but how about telling me the customer buying brand new I got flooded twice when they knew the defect the 1st time 2nd time 3rd fridge brought next day a different brand installed.4 hours later i am sitting down for dinner with my husband and kids ive got my new fridge it 4 hrs after installed mike abt President of ABT very rude like its my fault 4th damaged b4 off truck.
i was put on mute each time i spoke.the response from them was more evil each time that way they put me on when freaked out 3rd fridge still here with freezer door fine fridge door 2/12 inches lower and huge chunk off fridge door hidden behind plastic cover all the calls i made i was told i should feel lucky and i don't deserve and we wont give you.
i was muted and they werent how convenient i went bought paid for brand new fridge why am i treated like i did something i never asked for flooding 2 times in 2 days 2 fridges same exact model but they new the defect didnt tell me once not 2nt time but after the fact how is this my fault all i wanted was was what i came to ABT for paid for and i dont have and told i wont get from them now mike abt told me i have a 3 fridge limit well now im seeing the light it is 3 strikes your out but why would i ask to have my kitchen completely flooded 2 days in a row and mike abt on the phone while i am in my flooded kitchen with the 2nd fridge day after original flood of 1st fridge telling me i should feel lucky that i got a 2nd fridge HUH!!!!
how am i lucky.lucky that i came to your store bought brand new and not once but twice flooded my food in fridge replaced twice my time from work mike abt says im not responsible for your salary im not responsible for your salary im thinking this is not happening to me what did i do 4th fridge brought drivers tell me that it is damaged b4 even taking off truck.
mike abt calls to tell me this is my last chance this will be the last time for you.i am not understanding why i have a last chance all i did was buy a brand new fridge and i got flooded from 1st fridge 1st day flooded from 2nd next dat door falls off 3rd fridge 3rd day.how is this my fault!mike abt told me today 10/19/04 that i have his very last maytag in my kitchen he doesnt have anymore in his store i have last one.
well im thinking to myself when he is telling me this about the 4th fridge brought to my house today 10/19/04 to replace this last one in my kitchen.i cant belive this now.
how is the one in my kitchen the last one when the 4th fridge that never came off the truck because they decided i dont deserve a 4th.the 4th went back to abt and now mike is telling me mine is his very last one.where did that 4th go.mike is ordering me one maytag from the manufacturer personally bacuase i have

My name is Michael Abt, President of Abt Electronics.
After this customer's initial delivery on October 11 we did repeatedly attempt to assist the customer by either servicing or exchanging the unit. Our delivery and/or service crews were at the customer's home twice on October 12 to service and then exchange the unit, again on October 18 to attempt to exchange the unit and then another exchange was made October 25. At no time did we deny the customer our support. We always communicate with our customers and wanted to rectify the situation.
Our company makes approximately 1,200 appliance and electronics deliveries daily, and, on occasion, something does go wrong. Appliances are dented or a wire is disconnected during shipment from the manufacturer. Most customers are happy if we can service the unit, touch up or offer money off for a dent that is barely visible. It is unfortunate this customer had so many problems.
I personally spoke with Holly and she indicated the unit is functioning properly and that she is finally satisfied with the refrigerator.
