The AC Delco car battery model 75-5YR is a dangerous ripoff. My 1999 Saturn SL2 had an ignition problem in September 2002. The problem was the positive terminal of the battery (serial number 668556) had physically corroded away from the battery and was leaking acid. I had contacted AC Delco and they did nothing about it even with it under it's original 5 year warranty. They blamed Saturn and Saturn blamed AC Delco.

This morning (March 7, 2006) I have the same problem. Back in September 2002 Saturn replaced the original defective AC Delco battery with a new one (serial number 775467). As of today the same problem has occurred, the positive terminal has corroded away and is leaking acid again. I had to have it towed to the dealer and they are replacing it with a different battery since they recommended against this AC Delco ripoff.

AC Delco should be held not only responsible but liable for this ripoff.
