Another leaking AC/Delco battery!

I bought an Oldsmobile Aurora in 2001, and to Delco's credit, the battery lasted until September, 2005. Olds saw fit to locate the battery in this car, under the back seat, so checking its "Freedom" battery was/is not a simple everyday thing.

When the battery died this week, I pulled out the rear seat cushion to find a pool of acid in the battery tray and an encrusted positive terminal/cable end. Upon attempting to unscrew the cable, the entire terminal broke out of the battery.

My car is still under its original 60 months/60,000 mile "bumper to bumper" warranty, but GM refuses to fix it as they no longer cover any battery/related parts for more than 3 years or 36,000 miles.

Add this one to some other historical issues with GM and its products and this will probably be the last GM product I purchase.
