On November 8, my father got a call from an Aaron Ridge of Academy Financial Services wanting to talk to my husband. I could not get ahold of my husband at the time, so I called the number and the extension for this Aaron Ridge and talked to a woman named Janie who wanted to know if we were going to pay our debt today. Did I forget to mention that the address they have on file is one that he has not lived at in 15 years and we have not lived there together at all?

We talked to a supervisor named Todd Green and we made our arrangements with him and it was approved by Citibank. We even made arrangements for a wire transfer. Not even 24 hrs later, Todd calls back and tells my husband Citibank does not approve of this and that we have a card that is in good standing and they want the money or we will be sued. This is his father's card, and when that was explained, my husband was called a liar. They wanted their money.

On November 18, we got the notice that they have our account in collection. This citicard was thought to have been paid in full and we have not been billed for it since January of 2006. I hope anyone has any ideas of how get out of this mess. Thanks

Amanda
