Complaint Review: Acaiberry Detox

The weight loss product was offered on-line for $0.99.  The website offered testimonials that seemed legitimate, at the time.  (Hindsight is 20-20!)  I figured the company could not rip me off for very much money, even if it was for a questionable product.  How wrong I was!  Initially I started getting phone calls offering me additional products to be included in my order.  I turned them down and stated i only wanted what I ordered for $0.99.  A month or so passed and I figured the order was never completed.  Finally the product arrived.  I do not remember there being any additional paperwork inside the box.  My cc bill arrived shortly thereafter and I have 2 charges for $79.95 and another charge for $3.95, for a total of $163.85 for a product I initially ordered for $0.99.  I called the phone # listed on my CC bill, and spoke to a person who was barely literate.  Her bit was that the paperwork that accompanied the product stated that I would receive additional products every month until I called to cancel.  After 45 minutes on the phone I got her to agree to reimburse my CC for one of the $79.95 charges and that the other $79.95 would be reimbursed when I returned the product.  I have used some of the product so I don't know how much, if any, will actually be reimbursed.  What a pain!
