Complaint Review: AcaiBerry Detox

AcaiBerry Detox I ordered a free trial & only had to pay shipping & handling of $3.95, on 4/02/09. I never received the trial but I received an email stating that it wasn't available in my area, so I opt out of it. Then I get my bank statement for my checking account Wednesday & found out they charged me 87.13, plus an extra 2.00 for Lipaphen from Florida, plus .70 for Cross Border Assessment. Still no product. On April 2, 2009 I saw an article on the AcaiBerry Detox that is an all natural cleanse for your body and it is supposed to help you loose weight. They had a trial offer and you only had to pay the shipping and handling of $3.95. Right after I requested my trial I received an email stating that the offer was not available in my area, so I opt out of there emails and said to forget it. Well you would think that there wasn't going to be anymore emails and no trial offer was to come to my house. End of story. WRONG!!

I received my bank statement for my checking account and I find out that I was charged $87.13 for the AcaiBerry Detox, $2.00 for Lipaphen from FL., plus $.70 for Across the Border Assessment. So I call them and ask them, "why I was charged for a product that I never received". First off they didn't speak English very well and I ask her, "to put someone on the phone that I could understand." (The next one wasn't much better). She said, "that I should have called at the end of my trial." I told her, "I never received my trial and didn't think I would receive it since I opted out of the email that said it wasn't available in my area."

I also stated, "that I wanted my money back the whole $89.83 that they took out of my checking account." She tells me, "I would have to put a request in for your refund." I told her, "this is a request". Then she wants to know if I still want them to send me the product". I told her, "that I don't want there product now since they couldn't ship it correctly in the first place and all I wanted is my money back that they took from me". She stated again, "that she would have to put in a request for me to get my refund. Then she tells me, "to check my email in 24-48 hours and I should receive an email about my refund."

Today is Friday May 1, 2009 and I have not seen or heard from anyone about my refund. This is why I am considering this a RipOff. I also asked to talk to the Supervisor and her English was the worse of them all. She did give me a confirmation number about the cancellation but I still haven't got my money back.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME ISSUE

Hello,
I had the exact same thing happen to me. I placed an order for a FREE trial in February 2009, and was charged $87.13 April 17th 2009.. I dealt with the same phone converstaions, the refund request ticket and the "refund emails".. I contacted my bank immediately and filed a despute.

1) File a despute! I FINALLY received my money back TODAY June 10th from my bank!!!!! (key bank)
- I have read many reports with people not receiving their money even when filing a despute.. key bank gave me mine! Because a refund is not garaunteed it is best to cancel your account because you WILL be charged again.

2) CANCEL your bank account that you used.. I have read COUNTLESS reports of this company re-charging the fees every month and for random amounts on random days.. I cancelled mine April 18th 2009 (the day after I was charged the $87.13)

I hope that you have the same luck that I did. GOODLUCK!
