Complaint Review: Acanac

Hello, I would like to warn anyone deciding on subscribing to Acanac services. Their prices are inviting, but that is only on year long contract, charged upfront.

After changing apartments in the same building, I started getting bad service; constant disconnects and while connected I was not able to load most pagers.  Technical support was not able to pin point the problem.  Acanac blamed the service on Bell lines, and Bell does not check the lines if they do not provide a service to the residence (dry loop setup).  

After 3 weeks of unusable service and no solutions in sight, I started asking about canceling my services.  Reply was: "Your DSL account can be canceled now but no refund is available, please reply this ticket just for confirmation. To cancel your package before the end of the renewal period, you will not be credited for any remaining time that you have already paid for."

I emailed and emailed them, and all I got was a run around and nothing on returning at least a portion of my money.

I feel riped off because they are not providing me with a service I paid for.  Also customer support was really bad.  I would send in an email and get a one sentence answer with no information in it. Basically: "Thank you for using Acanac services."

I do not recommend Acanac to anyone expecting good service.
