I was in a car wreck on 8-24-2010. The Officer assign to the case did not do a walk around inspection like he was suppose to do. I ended up hitting the vehicle in front of me without realizing until I got home. I ended up missing 2 days of work because of the wreck and could not get my vehicle appraised and traded in to purchase a new car. When I talk to the insurance company (ACCC Clailms), the  adjuster, Carla Proctor informed me that they were to send out a check for the back of my car on 09/01/2010, but then her boss decided to wait until the investigation for the front of my car was completed before he sent out the check. The investigation went on for another 2 weeks. I ended up going to the police office and paying for the police report myself and faxing it to the manager, Joe Hopper. I then faxed a copy of a statement by Mike Newman who had inspected my vehicle 15 minutes before the accident occured.

After 3 weeks of their "investigation", the manager tells me that I must have wreck my vehicle 5 minutes before the other guy hit me, so they will not pay for the damage to the front of my car. I now have to pay out of pocket. On Sept 17, I called ACCC claims to see if they have sent me my check, which they never told me the amount of the check. She tells me that she thought I was going through my own insurance, which is what they want me to do in the first place. I told her no, I wasn't and that I want my check for the back of my car and my rental car. She tells me it won't go out until Monday. They then proceed to send me a check for $200 for car depreciation and nothing for pain and suffering, loss wages or anything. I guess I'm use to dealing with things going quickly since I have real insurance and the other guy does not. Do not mess with ACCC claims. They give you the run around and act like they do not want to pay for damages that was incurred by someone else. I was following the rules of the road when some guy ran into me like a bat out of hell. I'm pretty sure he's got his car fixed. Had I hit him, I'm sure State Farm would have fixed his car quickly and given him a nice settlement, since of course I have real insurance and he does not. I may end of sueing them in small claims court to receive the $1500 in pay and suffering loss wages. I repeat. Stay away from ACCC Claims Service.
