Access Van Lines, National Moving Network, World Wide Moving Ripoff Liars & Thieves Maspeth New York
It is truly amazing that the State and Government allow companies like this to operate. It's a disgrace. To describe my entire ordeal would take wayyyy too long. My report to the proper authorities was 7 pages long, and that still didn't cover all the hell we were put through. To sum up: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They lied about everything, showed up with a truck that was too small and then charged us for the second pick-up, more than tripled the price on us, they never returned phone calls and rarely answer the phone, when we complained we were called names and threatened with physical harm, was told that the owner (Daniel Biran) had no voice mail and there was no way to get in touch with him - later after we paid we were connected with his voice mail(of course he never returned calls either). This doesn't even begin to detail the problems. One of the only "call-backs" I ever got from this company was from the driver(Hein) - at my grandparents funeral - after I complained - threatening my life, telling me to go "F" my mother, said he is going to call my job and get me fired. The dispatch/customer service/manager/complaint department is one guy - Jay - who is a complete dishonest piece of you-know-what. All of these people, including the receptionist (Haitia I think - her name changed 3 times), should all be brought up on charges. One last thing - when Jay FINALLY called us back with our delivery date - it was Sunday night at 11:00PM - he said the truck will be there tomorrow/Monday - which is Memorial Day - he demanded $4,298.00 in CASH only or he will put our stuff in storage and we will have to take it from there - when we explained that the banks are closed and there was no way we can get the money - he said thats our problem. We complained to the BBB with no results - sent complaint to NYDA Eliot Spitzer, who promptly passed the buck to the NYDOT, who promptly passed the buck to NYDMV, who promptly passed the buck to the USDOT, it finally ended up in the Fed's hands and I hope thats where it stays. One last thing - Access literally damaged EVERYTHING they packed and delivered...EVERYTHING!!! Estimated damages are over $18,000.00. Aclass action lawsuit sounds good to me!

Access was unlicensed during your move!

Matthew, if your delivery date was on Memorial Day (May 31st), then your move was completely illegal. Access Van Lines has had their license revoked three times in the past year (which is a LOT, even for a known scammer), the first of which was from April 28 through June 8. If you didn't already know this, include it in your letters to every agency you can find.
They also have been fined for these Critical Violations:
OPERATING A CMV WITHOUT A VALID CDL
FALSE REPORTS OF RECORDS OF DUTY STATUS
There are MANY reports of missing or falisified log reports, and a few violations for unlicensed drivers.
National Moving Network hired an unlicensed mover for you. This is the link to Access's DOT report.
