I bought a digital camera and accessories off of their website because they had the best prices I had found. After getting an order number I was instructed to call to confirm my order so as to prevent fraud.

Before calling I decided to check out their return policy in case the item was defective or there was a problem. In searching Accessoriesland I found this website with many many warnings not to do business with this company. Many of the posts were unbelieveable in how the customer was treated. I took the warnings and called to cancel my order.

When I got through to someone, he asked me why I wanted to cancel my order. I told him it did not make a difference why. I just wanted to. He said there would be a cancellation fee of 40%.

I told him I would not be paying that fee since it was not posted on the website. He asked me if I was Chinese. I told him that that was not any of his business. He then told me he thought I was Chinese because Chinese always "do this". I again told him it was none of his business and wanted to cancel my order and I would not be paying the 40% cancellation fee. He said the order was cancelled and abruptly hung up on me as I was speaking to him.

I have since looked at the customer service page of the website and, in very bad English it tells that a fee of 6% would be charged for website orders cancelled. Then, later on the same page, it says, (also in very bad English) that a fee of 8% will be charged for on-line orders that are cancelled. Now, according to my calulations, if you put those together, even, it comes nowhere near 40%!

On the website ShopCartUSA.com there are 5 out of 16 pages of poor reviews about this company.I consider myself lucky to not have done business with them.
I work too hard for my money to give it away to someone. I realized they had my credit card information so I cancelled that card so they could not charge me. Who knows how much they would have put on there? Their website is not even reliable or consisitant with their charges and fees.

It tells a whole lot that when you click on the ABOUT US link on their website it goes to the customer service page. My dealings with them were unbelieveable! So, look carefully at what I and other people say about them and, if you still want to chance it, go ahead. But, I bet we will see a review from you right here when all is said and done.

Since your order wasn't complete until you called and confirmed it (a trick to try to upsell you), you ordered nothing.

You never confirmed the order, and any charge to your credit card should be put into dispute as soon as you see it billed to you.

Tell the bank you never placed an order since the merchant required telephone confirmation and you never confirmed that you wanted to process the order.

These folks may just never bill you anyway but, if they do, get it charged back.
