I was looking for an online electronics store that had a video lens i was looking for. Accessory Circuts website said it was in stock. About 10 minutes after i ordered i got a call from them saying the item was not in stock and would be backordered for months. This was a $150 lens. They talked me into what they said was a better lens for $40 more. When i received it, it was a cheap $25 lens you could find anywhere.

I called back and wanted a refund and the salesman got very defensive. I told him i was going to cancel my payment and he threatened to tie up my money for 6 months. He never would give me an address to return it.

I'm not very good at confrontations so i agreed to at least try it out and see how it worked. It was obviously a piece of junk and i spent way too much money on it. Never did pursue it any farther.

This is the classic bait and switch scenario. They know exactly what they are doing. There are a few people in the videocamera forum i belong to that have had this happen to them from these same place, Accessory Circut.
