I worked for Acclaim models and promotions in September and October of 2007. They have not paid me for the jobs that I have worked for them. I spoke to Ira/Howard Grossman(he has given two names) and says that it will get taken care of and it hasn't. He gives exuses why he hasn't paid anyone and wants you to feel sorry for him that he can't pay anyone. Do not work for this promotional company because you will not get paid. He told me he might change the name of the company to do business again. Don't work for Ira/Howard Grossman.

I would like to state that both Brenda and Laura (that have filed complaints with the Rip-Off Report) have been PAID IN FULL and we can produce checks as evidence to that fact. They may not have received their money as fast as they would have liked but the fact of the matter is they were paid in full. I actually sent Laura an email requesting that when she receives her check that she retract her statement and she agreed yet we are still being maimed by these defamatory comments. Please remove these complaints about our firm as I am sure both parties will confirm they were paid. Thank you!

This is in response to those who continue to accuse me for them not being paid.
I would like to inform those that continue to exploite my name personally in this situation will face legal actions (defamation of character/slander). You are slandering my name and I am not the owner of the company, nor do I have control of sending out pay checks. I have only given information about pay checks from what I was told by Ira and the Sunflower Group. I have not been paid either!!! I have given everyone Ira's phone number to contact him about their pay because he is responsible for making sure that everyone gets paid.
I have even advanced money from my own pocket to people. Of course with good faith that I will be paid back by Acclaim Promotions.
Yes you are right that I have not answered phone calls regarding pay because I am in the dark just as most of you are. I am waiting patiently to be paid in full just as you are.
So please to those that continue to use my name and post it on internet blogs and such the consequences will not be pretty. Just as you wish to take legal actions again Acclaim Promotions LLC, I will have no choice but to take legal action against those that continue to slander my name.
If you want to smear the image of the company by all means do so, but do not try and taint my name when you have no support for what you are writing.

I also have not been paid for 2 days of work that I did for Acclaim Promotions 10 weeks ago. I've been getting the run around. Acclaim advertised on Craigslist for a Grand Opening at a Ralph's Grocery Store.
Based on the amount of emails being sent back and forth from other contract employees who have not been paid - this is how Howard operates his company.
A woman named Tami Battle - who identified herself as the Northern and Southern California Coordinator - will not respond to any emails regarding payment. Months ago she told me the "client" had already paid Acclaim - not "Howard/Ira" is saying that they haven't been paid.......
I suggest everyone who has been victimized by this company contact the companies where the promotion was held - let them know about the bad businesses practices and hopefully they won't use this company again.
I am seeking further legal action and have been sending letters to all companies involved (i.e Acclaim , Sunflower group, Ralph's etc).
