LeAnn Kissner, owner of Acclaim Performance Horses, is the type of horse breeder/owner/trainer that gives the horse industry a bad wrap. She lures people into her facility, gets people to believe she is honest, caring, and is taking good care of your horse(s). When in fact your animal is poorly fed, poorly taken care of, and sometimes abused. She cons people to let her keep the registration papers at her facility, for safe keeping; she does this in case you fall behind in board, or another factor that would require a means of payment, i.e. vet bills, she will forge your name on the papers and take the horse to an auction and sell it. She will also drug horses to make them look sound for vet checks, and for showing the horses.

For several years I boarded my horse at LeAnn's facility. I also kept my horse trailer on the property. My horse trailer was always being used without my permission. I didn't have the title renewed because it was suppose to remain parked. Recently, I had the opprotunity to sell my trailer. When I asked where my trailer was, and all of my papers for the trailer, I was informed she forged my name to the title of the trailer, and titled in her boyfriends name (A.J. Luebke, General Contractor of Whitewater, WI). My trailer now gone, I have been forced to hire an attorney to fight to get my trailer back, and any other personal belongings I had at the farm. I was lucky enough to get my horse off the property before he was sold. I was never behind in payments, and always paid my board, and expenses in advance. When I removed my horse from the property, I had paid $1500.00 for my board, vet, and farrier services. The $1500.00 would have covered 12 months of board. I only used 3 months or $375.00, and was never refunded the remaining $1125.00.

Acclaim Performance Horses is the worse place to ever board a horse or have any other services done such as training, etc. Several people have taken their horses there for training, have paid for several months of training, and the horse was ridden on average two times per week, when the training was to be daily. There is very poor fencing around the pastures, and horses break out on a weekly basis, endangering the lives of the horses.

A true horse breeder, trainer, and boarding facility has written contracts protecting both parties. Acclaim will not put any agreements in writing, so that they can con people out of more money, steal property, or sell horses without the owner knowing until it's too late. This is also a person, that has conned one of the boarders to being a partner, when the woman came into a large sum of money. She was able to get this person to pay for a new barn, indoor riding arena, and purchase several very expensive horses for her kids to ride and show.

The partner has been scammed for over $500,000.00! And doesn't even realize it, because LeAnn has made the person believe that she will have a state-of-the-art boarding, training, and breeing facility. There are over 40 head of horses on the farm, with less than 10 being boarders. Several people are on a payroll, with no money coming in and the partner is paying for all of these expenses. This person is a fraud, lier, and a theif. She has scammed many men out of money also. When they don't give her what she wants she moved on to another one. The only one she has completely fooled is her partner. Acclaim Performance Horses also has a 4-H club running out of her barn, called the Stable Stompers.

The kids are forced to ride her horses, and if she doesn't want them, or the family members to be a part in the club any longer, she and her kids force the members out of the club, by every means possible. She will only allow people to have horses in her club, when 4-H is suppose to allow kids to have the chance to show anything from ducks to llamas. She is know to be very nice to people to their faces, but as soon as they walk away she turns face. Anything that is discussed in confidentiality, will eventually be made public news, and is not affraid to use your private life for her amusement. The people at Acclaim Performance Horses are also extremely racist to any body who is not caucasion or American, especially to blacks. These owners feel they are above and better than anybody affiliated with them. They treat people with very little respect, also. For the safety of animals or even people this is a barn that should be shut down.

In the early spring of 2007 LeAnn purchased several horses from a barn in Kewauskum, and one of the horses had infectious strangles. The disease took over the property, over half of the horses were infected in just a matter of days. She refused to acknowlege the fact it was one of the new horses that brought in the disease, and blamed it on a farrier, nearly destroying the farrier's reputation and business. Any of the "good show" horses were not infected, were vaccinated, and the others were left to suffer with the disease. Three horses nearly died, a vet was never asked to treat the sick horses, only to treat her special horses. The sick horses were hidden in an old run down barn.

RETRACTION. I am the author of this report about LeAnn Kissner, Acclaim Performance Horses, Inc. and JLP Quest LLC. I have been sued for libel because of this report. I filed it in haste and out of anger and misunderstandings. In the course of the lawsuit I have learned that the things that provoked my anger were not as they had seemed. LeAnn and Acclaim Performance Horses have agreed to dismiss the lawsuit if I acknowledge that the accusations in the ripoff report are not factual. They are not factual and should not cause anyone not to do business with this farm. I apologize for having filed the report, I wish it could be removed from this website, and I sincerely regret any harm it has caused. I have known LeAnn and this company for a very long time, and I wish them well.

First of all, I would like to say that I am proudly a 4-H member of the Stable Stompers, and that I have known Leann Kissner for far too many years. :) Secondly, I would like to assure you that this Rip Off report is very untrue. These are not facts we are talking about here. Leann is a wonderful person, and she would never do anything like this! Leann is a very honest loving person, and she would never think twice about doing stuff like that to people and animals. I know that Leann has many, many animals, and I know that she properly cares for them, and provides them with everything they might need!

Leann lives off of the performance of her farm, so why would she do something like this anyways? Leann absolutely loves animals as well as people, and she always loves to help others. I have two of my horses at her farm, because I was in a bad accident, and my sister passed away. I no longer could give my horses the proper care and attention they needed. So she offered to take them in! They have been there for months now, and they couldn't be any happier! I love them so much, and she knows how important their care/good health means to me.

I go to the farm a lot, so I know what is going on inside and outside of the barns, and she always notifies me about anything that is going on. So, I would like to reject this terrible report written about Leann Kissner, and I would strongly recommend going to the farm and participating in all of the horsing around with us! I enjoy going there, and being apart of Leann Kissner's 4-H club, the Stable Stompers. I know many others that love it too!

I am a Deputy with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department in Jefferson Wisconsin and have been such employed for the last 19 years. During those years, I have had occasion to be at Acclaim for reports made by people driving by thinking that a horse standing ankle deep in mud during a Wisconsin spring is unusual and cruel. I have also gone to Acclaim for reports made by persons wishing to remain anonymous, for various health care issues on the horses that are kept at Acclaim. In all of the times I have gone to Acclaim, I have never found any of the reports or allegations to be true. I have forwarded reports to our animal officers for follow up and nothing has ever been found wrong at this stable.

I have, even up until last week, gone to the stable with out warning or prior arrangements and have found the animals well fed, the stalls clean and the people, both workers and boarders, happy. I have never been denied access to any portion of the property and have been able to look at every stall, animal and tack area.

In the dealings I have had with Leann, I have found her to be honest, well informed, and always willing to take time out of her schedule to attend to those around her.

I have also had occastion to be at the County Fair and watch their 4H club, the Stable Stompers, interact and participate and have found them to be a loyal and honest group of people who are willing to help out anyone that needs it, from within their club or not.

I only just learned of the Ripoff Report that had been filed by 'Devistated'. I read it and was truly appalled by what had been written. I knew that I needed to submit a rebuttal to set the record straight as to the overall conditions of the fences, stable, and the animals kept in them. Also, to help the reputation of the stable owner as I feel it is exemplary.

While I have been a horse owner for the last 17 years, I do not currently have a horse at Acclaim. I would not, with certainty, have any problem whatsoever, boarding a horse at Acclaim.

So as to my response for 'Devistated'. It has been my experience in dealing with people for the last 19 years in an official capacity, that if you truly believed in what you wrote and were not just being vindictive for some personal adjenda, you would have at least been honest and proud of your statement and left your name for others to read.

Too Fishy to be True?

I have a horse boarded with LeAnn at Accalim. I have known LeaAnn for a number of years and find her to be anything but a RIPP-OFF. I find it appaluing that an individual is allowed to write such allegations without anything to back up the claims like a court case number. Furthermore I think that websites such as this one should not allow this type of crap to be written unless it has some real substance to back it up. No where in this persons claims did I see anthing to back up the claim. I find it hard to believe that someone would park their trailer on a property and leave a title in it. SOUNDS TOO FISHY TO BE TRUE. I think what we have here is a person that had an issue with LeAnn and the facility and will go at any length to smear her reputation. Please Ripoff Report do not allow this kind of crap to be posted without something to back it up; like a court judgement. I would highly recommend Acclaim to anyone. What I find there are Honest and Caring owners and employees. Thank You

This is in response to this madness. I do not know Leann Kissner, so I cannot personally speak of her character, however I can personally speak for several people she is closely tied to, these individuals would not be associated with a person of ill character, that these cruel accusations so unfairly claim, in the public eye- that I do know for sure. I have been a part of the livestock industry all of my life, in fact I have a license with the department of agriculture so I certainly would not defend this if I thought for a second there was validity.

Since there was so much mud slinging and gossip in the initial complaint, I decided it was absolutely appropriate to mention that I was sitting with a former girlfriend of someone involved with this barn, if anyone had reason to jump on the bandwagon of ugly slander, who better? Both she and I were completely appalled by Devastated's vindictive behavior. I think it is a crime that anyone has the power to use the web to ruin a reputation, especially when they remain anonymous. If this were true, anonymity would not be a part of the equation. I hope that no one will let this influence a decision to do business with this farm.
Sincerely,
Noelle

The author of this report is a disgruntled former friend and employee. There is no truth to the allegations in the report. We have sued the author in Circuit Court for libel. The action is pending.

When we took her deposition and asked her questions under oath about the things she put in the report, she took the Fifth Amendment, saying that answering would tend to incriminate her.

I have known the author of the report for over 30 years and was even her baby sitter when she was 7 years old. She is currently unemployed and under the care of a psychiatrist for depression. Whatever her motivation for filing the report, it had nothing to do with the integrity or quality of Acclaim Performance Horses, Inc. We will be happy to furnish references to prospective customers or anyone else who might be perplexed by the viciousness of this very sad tirade.
