Complaint Review: Accurate Engines - Lanny Hassel - Grandville Michigan

Accurate Engines - Lanny Hassel - Grandville Michigan Fraud - Substituted deteriorated rusty used parts for new Grandville, Michigan

Accurate Engines advertises "All parts are new aftermarket unless otherwise stated" and "All parts are new unless otherwise stated"

The 350 Chevy small block purchased had several rusty pitted deteriorated valve springs in both heads. Used valve spring #5 intake failed in under 300 miles. Lanny Hassel's remedy for the Fraud of substituting deteriorated rusty parts for new? Remove the entire engine and send it back to AE for a full refund!

Alternavely, remove the defective heads, return to AE for replacement. AE commits Fraud and I have to bear all the costs and inconvenience? The engine is in my motorhome where I live full time, in this case, brokedown and stranded in an increasingly colder October in Montana.

Required 50 mile tow after breaking down on the road. Required two new heads with all new valve springs and other parts. Required motel stay and removal of defective heads and replacement with new heads with NEW valve springs. Total bill to rectify AE's fraud? Two weeks and a $2737 repair bill.

Did Lanny Hassel offer an apology? Did Lanny Hassel offer to do whatever needed to be done to get me back on the road? His intial solution was "remove the engine and send it back for a full refund." Subsequent "solution" was to remove the heads, return to AE engine for replacement. All tow costs, all repair costs on me, when AE committed Fraud, substituting rusty, deteriorated used parts for New.

No emphathy whatsoever.

AE repeated replies to emails "let me look into this and get back to you." They never do. They ignored my warranty claim. AE essentially has No Warranty. Now, time and effort must be expended to get me back whole. I expected and paid for a new engine, not rusty old valve springs. I already had and old engine. So far, I'm out $2737.

How many other consumers are paying for new parts and get deteriorated rusty used parts that fail? Buyer beware of Accurate Engines and Lanny Hassel. They commit fraud with impunity and basically tell their customers to stick it once they have your money.
