ACE HARDWARE ACE SUPERSTORE Poor Response Bad Service Online Unprofessional Beware Cuidado ACE Hardware Scam Kwikset Locks, Internet
Ordered hundreds of dollars worth of Kwikset Tustin Locksets and asked that they all be "keyed alike" in original online order; Ace Hardware shipped order not keyed alike. I had to have it done locally but ACE HARDWARE in Colorado Springs said they could not even do it because they were Kwikset SmartKey locksets.
I had to pay a locksmith $65.00 plus my time and trouble. I called ACE to complain the person in customer service told me it was too much trouble to "pick" all locksets with same key number - if this is what they mean by: Ace Hardware's long-time slogan The helpful hardware place .. or The helpful place .. I guess I need to start a new jingle "Ace is the place with the hardware man that will screw you" .. if you let'em!
The bottom line is that if you think you're saving a few bucks dealing with ACE on line instead of buying from Lowe's or Home Depot - THINK AGAIN!!
