I purchased a refurbished Acer X1200 from a company. When I received the computer it was not in working condition.

I called Acer Customer Service to ask for a box to pick up the item for repair.

I was advised by Acer (Acer owns Gateway, Acer, and Emachines) that I would have to pay to send them the defective computer.

In the past, that was not the case with Gateway or Acer.

It truly is a new ballgame since Acer purchased Gateway and Emachines.

In these trying times for most of us, it is about the bottom line, and the bottom line only for this corporation.

If you plan on purchasing an Acer, Gateway, or Emachine, and have problems with the item, please expect to pay to have your item repaired.

This is corporate greed at its worst. Do not buy an Acer, Gateway, Or Emachine.

look your going to have problems if it is refurbished. they make the computer from use part so its your fault
