ACER Computers ACER Does not honor product warranty - very poor quality product San Jose California
I purchased an ACER Aspire One notebook from Frys Electronics. Six (6) days and 4 logins later the screen became very hot and suddenly showed only vertical colored lines.
Frys told me it was a manufacturer issue. I called Acer and they said it was costumer induced damage, and would not be covered.
I am out $250, and I have a dead computer. This company should be shut down. Do not buy from ACER.

As the other person said, you should be able to return the item to the store. However, if they also deem that the damage was not caused by a manufacturing defect, they will most likely deny the return.

If you have only had it 6 days, why not return it? Most companies have a 14 day return policy on laptop computers.
In fact fry's has a 30 day money back guarantee. Why not return it to them?

I have a one month old acer mini laptop, the aspire one. It is already making this rattling noise when you turn it on. I paid $275 for it. I am not even going to pursue the warranty, I have read numerous other complaints like yours. I am chalking it up to, the saying "you get what you pay for."
