ACER horrible customer service, avoiding warranty, Temple, Texas

   On Saturday 10/31 my Acer laptop of 10 months had a hard drive failure, I never used a cooling fan so I took the hit and decided to just buy a new one. I go to Walmart and buy the acer Aspire 5534 ...4 gb for $400 deal!


   I get home load it up...I love it...until I go into anything with flash, there are white boxes surrounding anything that moves...1 min on the page and youre seizure bound...no joke. My husband looks at it...adjust resalution...redownloads flash player...nothing works. So I call 800-637-7000 which is the paper that says "Questions call Acer first"....this guy tells me my problem is a software issue and he cant help me to call 800-237-6483...Im like okay and still calm at this point. I call and this guy says Im sorry miss this is the out of warrenty dept and unless I charge you $60 for a 1/2 hour I cant help you, call 800-816-2237....my anger level is rising. I call and get a chick...."Sorry thats a software problem call 800-237-6483" I said Look....Ive had this d**n thing for 2 hrs that # is for out of warrenty and they want $60, she says "Im sorry I cant help you" 


    Ohhhhh was I ticked...so I decided to call every # on Acer I could find...I called 866-695-2237, this guy started to give me the whole "I cant help you" gig...I said Oh NO.....Ive had this thing 2 hrs and this is the 5th # Ive called you are going to help me...its your job. So he tells me to restore to factory settings so I did and it worked.


   This morning I get on and notice it updated last night....the glitch is back and Im fed up. Yes, I could have done taken it back to Walmart cause its been under 15 days, but the point is had it been over 15 days even though I still have 90 days of software support, I would be screwed.


BEWARE...DONT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!
