I recently purchased a laptop from ACER on AMAZON.com. I am currently stationed in a remote area of Afghanistan and needed the laptop to stay in touch with my family. When i received the laptop, it did not boot up. I called thier service line and started troubleshooting with the technician.

After several weeks of dealing with steps to troubleshoot the laptop, I asked if I could just send it back for repair and they told me that I still need to work with them in troubleshooting the problem.
At one point, they wanted me to purchase a external CD rom drive for the laptop so they could send me a CD to restore the system. I find that unacceptable that I receive a bad product and they want me to spend more money to fix it?

I thought I had it all set to send the laptop back for repair and now ACER is still giving me the run-around. I spoke to AMAZON.com and they sent me a small rebate to express thier apologies but customer service I have received from ACER is totally unacceptable. I feel so hopeless now. I am deployed in support of our country and this is how I get treated?
