Acme Markets Inc. SAFETY VIOLATIONS AT BRYN MAWR ACME Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania
I used to be a loyal customer of the Acme in Bryn Mawr. This store used to be good for pedestrians and the handicapped. Bryn Mawr is for the most part a rich town. This is evidenced by most of the businesses there. Simply put, the locals should have no trouble paying their taxes, or supporting an ordinary supermarket like Acme. Given this it does not sound like an unreasonable ambition that this should be one of the nicest stores in the Acme chain. Sadly the opposite is true, except for the fact that it once had a Starbucks. More importantly, I have observed a few safety violations here. First of all, why is there a rusty metal pylon sign at about eye level in front of the store? Why is the parking lot filled with potholes? Why has one of the only fire exits been obstructed entirely by shelving for many years?
