I purchased a hard drive for $129.99 from Fry's that had a $50.00 rebate on 09/03/04 and sent in all information on 09/06/04 which was in the alloted time to received the rebate. I called today 01/31/05 to find out why I had never received it. The CSA had the information within 20 seconds and said that they would send it out tomorrow. When asked why this had not been done prior to my calling, the CSA said that the system had gone down, someone had gone home sick, and that it was my obligation to call if I had not received it within the 12 weeks. When I told the CSA that that was not correct and I thought that the Attorney General would be interested in their deceptive rebate practices she said "well, thanks for helping us get that rebate to you, Bye Bye.

Had I never called I would have been ripped off by yet another rebate offerResolution Sought: Stop ripping of rebate recipients and send out the rebates in a timely manner.
