acoustic fidelity AX.600 A Caucasian male with the appearance of a skater boy in his mid 20's or early 30's approached us in a creamy colored Tahoe 2006-2008 SUV. He had a passenger inside his vehicle selling projectors and home theater systems. He said he was heading to deliver acoustic fidelity AX.600 Pacoima California

A male caucasian with a skater boy look in his mid 20's to early 30's going by the name of Mike came up to me and my husband in a white creamy 2006-2008 Tahoe SUV. My husband had just arrived home and this guy came up and straight away opened his trunk asking if we were interested in purchasing electronics. Specifically he had projectors, screens for the projectors, and high definition home theater systems (acoustic fidelity AX.600). We told him we did not have cash on us and we were not interested. He then proceeded to ask if we wanted to trade for something. Something told us it was a scam so we continued to say no. We then mentioned that we had a go kart raxor (non working) so we asked if that would be something he was willing to trade for. He asked to take a look and did not hesitate to take, however he asked for more from my coversation with my husband later that day. The trade included a the go kart and a cheap plastic bb gun. Prior to Mike leaving my husband asked to open the box before he left to make sure there was something in it. I personally did not look in it but my husband did and so they completed the transaction and he sped off. Something that did catch my eye is that the lincense plates were from Nevada and the tags sais 07. I did not put two and two together until after but now it makes sense. I feel bad because he mentioned that he had sold a few projectors that he had sold to a woman for about 3,000 down the street for us and now after reading into these scams it is a nation wide scam. We do feel at some loss but not as bad as what I have read elsehere. Please beware of these scam artists. After opening our box today my husband said it was nothing but cheap speakers and nothing close to a home theater systems. A computer speaker is louder than what we were sold. Probably worth nothing at all.

I was ripped off same scenario today...male Caucasian in a suv claiming that he won the TVs in a raffle at a casino and since I'm in Vegas that is not uncommon. He caught me at the ATM at a bank of course perfect opportunity to hit people up for money while they are getting money out of the bank . He claims that he would give me a deal I gave him a price and he said he would give me two of them for the price of one. I'm thinking lucky me for 42 inch TVs I specifically asked him what size TVs. So long story short I bought them I brought them home I'll look them up and I found out that it was a scam by coming across this website. I opened one box up and sure enough it is only a surround sound theater system.no TV. I'm mad I'm upset and mad at myself and upset with him. So later that day I go to a liquor store that is about 20 miles away from where I was at originally. And I come across the scammer again with my boyfriend.. it took all of my mind not to smack him or let my boyfriend smack him and I let him know that he scam me. He then proceeded to claim that he stated it was a home theater system for a TV. That he never said that it was an actual TV.., . If you can't get a receipt don't do it!!!!
