Chris Andrews of AcquireLists "sold" my company a marketing list for our sales team.  He demanded payment in full up front, which I thought was strange, but I spoke to several customer references and everything checked out.  So I sent the check and held my breath.

Chris did provide a list of names as promised, but it was an absolute disaster.  There were mistakes everywhere -- duplicate names, companies not standardized, etc.  Even worse, we quickly determined that the vast majority of the names were outdated (many by years or even decades).  Given the amount of time we lost calling garbage names, it would have been better if he had sent no list at all!

Chris promised to redo the list, but several month later, still no results.  He has now resorted to screening my calls, and I spoke to someone else at the company recently who simply hung up on me.

My experience has proven this company to be completely untrustworthy.  Each time I ask to speak to the manager, he is conveniently "out for the day".  Don't waste your money -- there are plenty of other vendors out there that are more expensive but legit and well worth the extra cost.

I saw another negative review for AcquireLists (and Chris Andrews) on Ripoff Report, and the author updated his statement later, indicating that they finally did come through on their end of the deal.  I will provide an update as well if any progress materializes, but it's not looking promising so far.
