Bangalore, Feb 16,2009: Sareesh VNarraigned in Koramangala Police station regards to Crime number 578/08 on Friday, Feb 13,2009.

On complaint lodged by Colonel Govind V Rajulu, General Manager, SPAN, the case was registered (Crime number 578/08) under Sections 408,381 of IPC and sections 63(A) of Copyright Act on Sareesh VN, Clement Deepak and Madhu Sudhan BK. Inspector Nagaraj, Sub-inspector Tabrez and Crime detective Ramakrsihnappa lead this investigation team. Madhusudhan BK was nabbed from Banashankari in December and Clement Deepak surrendered last month. Sareesh VN had worked with SPAN for over 3 years and during this period he stole data, hard disk and website content while spreading spam.

After leaving the firm, he was caught aiding and abetting theft along with stealing leads and selling stolen data via spam s ites like AcquireLists.com and Leadsmarketer.com He is the last of the three accused that the Koramangala police have finally bought to book which will help take this case forward.

Chethan from Rugan and Arya, Karthick BS from ALMT Legal were the lead Lawyers who handled filing this Criminal complaint and local case with Koramangala Police Station.
On January 30, 2009, a Raid was conducted on the Premise where Acquirelists and Leadsmarketer.com have been clandestinely operating at 378 first cross, 7th block, Koramangala, Bangalore-560095.

In this raid another ex-employee Vitesh Mandanna was caught and grilled regards to his relation to aiding and abetting theft, selling stolen data in copyright violation, along with initiating spam sites like Leadsmarketer.com, and AcquireLists.com.
Vitesh Mandanna initially tried to escape during the raid at their premise that he didn't know the details of Sareesh, but after further grilling and interrogation, he eventually succumbed to give in the details. Mandanna and Sareesh together have been operating this clandestine operation of Acquirelists and LeadsMarketer in different names and found involved with spreading spam in their previous company network and via fake news releases along with defacing websites.

The moment Sareesh came to know of the raid on his two bed room house which has been converted to a office in 7th block, he absconded and failed to report to the police station. Police had been tracking him down since last month and Koramangala Police have sent teams multiple times to arrest him, finally resulting in his surrender today said Karthick from ALMT Legal.
A separate Civil and Criminal lawsuit regards to this has been filed by ALMT Legal which will have serious repercussions for these culprits soon.

Sareesh VN is the last catch of the three accused and this gives us the needed ammunition to move ahead as all three accused Sareesh VN, Clement Deepak and Madhu BK have been reprimanded as on today. New Intellectual Property laws and the amended IT Act have made cases like this feasible in front of justice. Getting Clement and Sareesh to book was delayed after Madhu was arraigned in Koramangala Police station as they absconded once as they came to know of this case.

Now that we have them booked, We have filed this case with additional details and affidavits and we are positive that it will result in abatement of crime going forward. New internet laws makes these a culpable non bailable offense and a bail will not be granted to those who are involved, He said.

Aravind Kamth, Senior Lawyer from ALMT Legal, has identified that appropriate Civil and Criminal proceedings will be initiated with CBI or COD teams on Sareesh VN, Clement Deepak and Madhusudhan BK who have all been now arraigned and booked.

Sareesh claims he is broke and has no money even for filling petrol in his vehicle. We are sure either he has spent most of the stolen money or siphoned off funds to involved parties in hometowns, kannur and kochi in kerala and Mandanna to coorg. Clement also claims they only have half of the money siphoned off left to return. Not having Money now anyway doesn't excuse the theftthey were involved with. We will bring all these involved parties in front of justice when the Criminal case comes for hearing He said.

Sub-inspector Tabrez from Koramangala Police Station lead this round of interrogation and investigation of Sareesh VN along with Inspector Nagaraj. Illegal Sites like Optindatainc.com and Optincontacts.com have alreadybeen shut down and notified while sites like Acquirelists.com, Leadsmarketer.com etc are being investigated.

Note: Anyone aware of additional details regards to Sareesh VN , Clement Deepak, Madhusudhan BK or illegal data theft operations and any other clandestine websites like AuthenticLists.com or Maxprodata.com , please contact the Koramangala Police Station, 4 th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore - 560095.Phone: 080 - 2942570 or ALMT Legal, 2 Lavelle Rd, Bangalore 560001, 080-40160000.

Acquirelists and Leadsmarketer strongly refute any allegations

Acquirelists and Leadsmarketer strongly refute any allegations that we are involved in spamming, data theft or any email scams. We do not, and have never, employed either directly or indirectly anyone named Clement Deepak, Sareesh v n or Madhu Sudhan BK.

Acquirelists does provide email appending services, but all addresses supplied to our clients are fully opted-in and all bounces are removed.

The report above was filed by a comnpetirot, not a client - Rip-off report has NO WAY to identify the identity of people leaving reports here and the report above is left by a person that does not identify themselves and the report is a lie (proof to follow). We have competitors who stoop to these types of tactics and we can prove that this is a bogus report.

We applaud your campaign to get rid of the rip-off merchants in the online marketing business, but suggest that unfounded and unchecked allegations simply damage those companies that trade honestly and bring your publication into disrepute.
