Description Of Work: : Acreage Custom Woodworking was contracted to build a 10' wide by 8' high cabinet. There were a number of problems during the fabrication period. First he made the unit 2" wider than called for. Then he substituted doors he made instead of the doors from the supplier he told us would make them. Then there were numerous installation dates that were confirmed and then cancelled at the last minute, wasting our time. This was a painted unit. Comments: Finally, two weeks later than the 4-6 week time frame we were given, they showed up to install the cabinet. While most of the cabinet was fine, the cornice was made wrong and didn't intersect the wall properly. In addition, it became clear their installation skills were quite lacking.

They brought the unit in partially pre-assembled making it almost impossible to adjust onsite because of its size and weight. They tried to "fix" the cornice by sanding it down in place and then using caulk to try to fill the large gap between the unit and the wall. That "fix" was only partial and they promised to return "soon" to finish the repair, paint the part of the cornice that was sanded, install a scribe molding between the unit and the wall to hide the large gap, and supply the touch-up paint that had been promised. They were paid in full before they left. The company refuses to return to complete the unsatisfactory installation of the cabinets contracted for and refuses to return calls. Glenn Ranucci is the Owner and has demonstrated a completely unprofessional attitude by refusing, after being paid in full, to finish the incomplete installation of the cabinet.

At the end of the day when the cabinet was incompletely installed Ranucci promised to return "soon" to finish the installation. It has now been 90 days since making the promise to return and Ranucci will not respond to calls or emails. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they have failed to respond to them as well. Their website was taken down. You can find them on facebook. We have little hope. Buyer beware of this company.
