I signed up for ATN promo in April and within the 1st day I was contacted by Molly to work a event in Birmingham, Al.  I was told to call a # to do a training call and I would be paid for my time for it that, it was 45 min.  I was to show up Sat and work 9-6- I did. Sun 11-6- I did; the pay was $15 per hour.  That was in April.  Still no pay!! No communication at all but when they were wanting me to work the event they were calling every day!!!  When I go to their website there is no record of me working the event -NOW. It was there a couple of weeks ago!

Thank goodness I was smart enough to save a page with the record of it on my compuer & I do have all the emails, with the details of the event in which I emailed Molly & Cassandra back & forth (If it does me any good!!) I just hope something can be done on this lousy company!  You know they asked something out of me & I did my part I showed up & did what I was asked to do in good faith that I would be paid for my time.  Thats all! I am calling them one more time & I am also calling the other guys & girls who worked the same event to see if any of them have gotten paid, if they have not I'm sending them to this website.

Subject: ATN Promo has paid for every event I have worked

Ladies and Gentlemen;

My name is James Price and I reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro Plex.  I had first discovered ATN Promo in the year of 2012 in which I was granted my first assignment in Austin,Texas at a University of Texas College Football Tailgating event.

I was very excited to know that I would be distributing samples of Blueberry Pomegrante Smoothies from Mc'donalds to patrons who were attending the football game at DKR Stadium.  Thousands of people flocked to the Mcdonalds trailer delighted to get a tasty treat from one of the most respected fast food dynasties around.

After the event was over I filled out my hours on the ATN website and submitted it.  Thirty days later I was paid for my services with no complaints of the duration of the waiting process.  I comprehended that according to me signing the contract for this event that a wait may incur.

Do not assume that ATN is scamming you for labor and will rip you off. Like any other industry, company, or copopration, there are guidelines and regulations to protect both the company and those who obide by them.  I hereby pray that you rescind any comments negating the integrity, and dynamics of ATN Promo.

ATN Promo Response to Staff Payment Concerns

#3UPDATE Employee ..inside information

Wed, November 20, 2013

I would like to take a minute to address the concerns called out here on Rip-Off Report over the last few years regarding ATN and their lack of payment to their staff.

Before anything else, if you were truly not paid for work you performed on behalf of ATN Promo, I encourage you to go to the Illinois Secretary of State and file a report as this issue needs to be resolved immediately.

ATN has now been in business for over a decade (11 years to be exact). Throughout that time, we have remained in good standing with the State of Illinois – something that would not remain true if we were a scam company or we didn’t pay our staff. We in fact do pay all of our staff for the work they’ve performed. There are only three reasons why someone would not be paid via ATN:

-       If they no-showed or cancelled at the last minute

-       If there was a blatant breach of contract by the staff member

-       If the employee moved and did not contact ATN with their change of address

My question back to the staff who are questioning ATN for lack of payment would simply be this: upon working for ATN Promo, did you read and understand the terms of the agreement you knowingly and willingly signed? Specifically in the following areas:

-       Payment terms

  • During the timeframe of these complaints, ATN’s payment terms dictated staff would be paid within five (5) days of ATN receiving payment from their client. Unfortunately there are times when a client will not pay ATN for 90+ days and because of that, payment to staff can be delayed.
  • Our payment structure has since changed drastically (for the better). For current information on ATN and their current payment process, please visit the FAQ’s section of ATN’s website - atnpromo.com/faqs/

-       W9 paperwork (if applicable – only applicable for those earning < $600)

  • Did you submit your completed W9 form?
  • Was it filled out properly?

-       Last minute cancellation/no show policy

  • If you cancelled for an event you were confirmed to work and did not give proper notice (48 hours), you are subject to a $150 cancellation fee.
  • The same policy is in place for employees who no call/no show to an event in which they were confirmed to work.
  • In these circumstances, the $150 is collected from additional monies owed to said employee; thus potentially eliminating a paycheck said employee may have previously earned.

-       Blatant breach of contract (your ATN employment agreement)

  • The following are examples of a blatant breach of contract, which would result in withholding of payment from an ATN employee
    • Circumventing ATN and directly contacting clients directly at any time
    • Soliciting yourself to a client onsite
    • Acting in an inappropriate manner toward ATN internal staff/clients/the general public
    • Discussing pay rates with other ATN employees

Should you have any questions regarding any of the information enclosed above, please feel free to reach out to the ATN office directly as this is and will always be the best course of action for resolving any issues you may have with the company. When reaching out, please be sure to provide the following information:

-       Your full name

-       Your base location

-       The event(s) in question where you have yet to receive payment

  • Program name
  • Program dates/dates worked

We look forward to resolving these issues and working with everyone again in the near future.

Sincerely,

The ATN Team
