I hired this company because Mr. Berry, the face of the company, promised that the movers would arrive at a specific time and that my items would be handled properly and with great care.  The movers did not show up on time, which caused me to be late for work. The move took much longer than expected and I saw one mover sitting on my couch, talking on the cell phone and watching my tv.  Additionally, several items were left behind and not packed.  I had to personally pack those items myself.

When my items arrived at my new home, I immediately noticed how careless the movers had been during the packing process.  Many expensive suits were thrown into boxes, not properly folded and placed carefully into boxes.  Also, several suits that were supposed to be hung from a rod in a wardrobe box were thrown into regular boxes with broken hangers.  My clothes were thrown into boxes underneath heavy items such as a tv. I had to pay a professional cleaning service to press my clothes. And, I had to replace multiple hangars.

Two of my lamps were broken during the move.  Mr. Berry expected me to use my own insurance company to cover the cost of the damaged items. Additionally, several items were missing.  Mr. Berry suggested that my trusted housekeeper must have stolen the items instead of his employees.  

Mr. Berry offered less than a 10% discount to cover my damaged items and make up for the poor customer service.  I paid more than $7,000 to this company, and was only offered a $500 refund. And, I was asked to sign a non-disclosure statement agreeing to not ever give this company a bad review.  I refused to sign it.
