ACS INC is asking for $870.69 now or $4203.86 later new york New York
I received an email, all in caps, threatening to sue me for $4203.86 unless I immediately settled for $870.69, out of court restitution. They are asking me to send them a promissory note to keep my case file temporarily out of the court house. I am accused of: 1. violation of federal banking regulation(their spelling); 2. collateral check fraud;3. theft by deception. Further, they indicate I am a "genuine" person and so they want to help me

The whole reason ACS asks for a promissory note is because if you sign a promissory note - then you do owe the money! So don't fall for that one.
The entire ACS operation is a scam. You can read through all the reports here and see that they send these threatening emails and phone calls to bully you into signing a promissory note and paying them off. Ignore them. Hang up when they call.

It's meant to scare you into paying them immediately. These people are really low life.
