I recieved an email threatening prosecution and jail from ACS and if I do not pay them on
some bogus balance of $1,489.56 it will cost me $4515.
I've never heard of this company and I'm tiered of getting threats for money.
I hope this helps catching these criminals.

When these scammers send me these emails I block thier email address and delete the email. The 1st response is right its a scammer trying to get your imformation.

The first tell tail sign that this was a scam email was the "gmail.com" email address.
This is what is known as a "phishing scam".
It appears that you are short in the common sense department.
No legitimate third party debt collector sends out emails in attempt to collect a debt.
It's illegal in most cases as it would violate privacy rules and the FDCPA.
You should get a little more education on using the internet so you can spot a "phishing attempt".
That email was sent in an attempt to steeal your money, and/or your identity.
