Hired these guys in September 2010 to move my son from Calgary to Montreal, so he could go to school there. Driver walked through my screen door and did not even apologize. When I told the company they asked for pictures. Since my husband was able to fix it, I did not follow up on the item.

The real issue is that I paid for insurance, drive broke a lamp on the trip. I claimed the $50.00 and received a letter stating that once they removed the deductible they did not owe me anything. No where in the contract is there mention of a deductible, nor was it mentioned when they sold me the insurance. Made 4 phone calls to them and they never called me back.

Gift Certificate for $100.00?

Since I will never use you guys again, your gift certificate is useless. Either send me a cheque for the $50.00 for the broken lamp or we leave the report on file and you can keep your gift certificate. 

Also, don't forget that your driver while leaving my house walked into my screen door and broke it (which I did not claim), then left without even an apology.

We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with the service you received from Action Moving & Storage. Unfortunately, as stated in the letter we sent you there is a $295 deductible on all the insurance policies we offer. We apologize if this was not explained to you. This does not excuse the fact that your calls were not returned  and we have addressed this internally. We are a family business that has been in operation for over 40 years. We operate over a 6000 moves a year across Canada and North America, and we want our customers to return to us year after year. To achieve this we understand the importance of offering a good service on each and every move. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
