This guy came to give an estimate for painting and a border removal.  He said the border would not be a problem and he would fix any imperfections on the walls.

When they showed up, the border became a problem according to him and requested $700. more than the original written estimate.  My husband and I began to remove some border, which was easily removed, then all of a sudden the painter agreed to just $150. more.  We had worked hard to remove everything the walls, etc. and just wanted to get this done so we agreed to the $150.

The border was removed (which took 1 hour) and the painting began.  What a mess..no dents or imperfections were filled in, the doors (6 panel) were painted with a roller and we ended up having to sand them to remove large globs of paint and then re-paint all 6 of them.  One of the doors was only half painted.  There was baseboard that was left unpainted.

There were globs of paint on my floors and some on my upholstered chair.  There was green paint on the white ceiling and white ceiling paint on the walls.  There were bare spots all around where they had missed entirely.

The estimated price was to include the paint but when they left they took the white ceiling paint and semi gloss trim paint.  I had to then spend money for two more gallons of paint to fix all of the mess.

It took my husband and I two days to make this horrible job even look decent and to clean up all paint splatters and droppings.  I cannot remove the paint from my chair.
