Active Periodicals Ripoff they contacted me on 8/07/06 with a magazine offer. after i listened to them and found out how much it would be i refused. so then i went on line to my credit card web site and discovered that they charged me anyways. when i contacted them with the phone number provided it was a remove your number computer. i too as "bob"'s wife was contacted by active periodicals, and when i heard their offer i refused. i too was also charged, but i then went to the web site rip-off and read "bob"'s entries and i contacted gregg orr. he then gave me a phone number to call which is the number to collections. the contact is tawney at 954-570-7700. when i contacted her she said she would remove the charge. i was then contacted 5 min. later and told it would be and is removed. i have yet to go and see. but i would like to thank ripp-off and "bob" for all the help and info you provided me in resolving this matter. you have opened my eyes to these kind of scams. i have since had some other calls about "wonderful offers and now kindly decline and hang up". so, once againn thanks a million "bob" for your hard work and info that will help many like me.
