I purchased a 2004 RSX in May of 2004 with a defective transmission, which upon several visits to the service department and several calls to Acura's corporate office, the problem has been ignored. Service visits end with them not being able to duplicate the problem. After my purchase I discovered that this problem was rampant, a simple Google search will reveal numerous unanswered complaints by the unlucky owners of Acura RSX's.

Visit acuradefect.com for more information and to join the effort to make Acura and American Honda Motor Co. accountable to their defective vehicle.

Sounds like you didn't do your research before purchasing the vehicle. If you're speaking on the 'Stickiness" of the second gear on all RSX's with manual transmission, that has been known since its first production year ( 2002 ). Its due to the material used in making the different gears. ( The 2k5 models changed the gearing and do not suffer from this anymore ).

The stickiness doesn't harm your car; as I AutoCross and Drag my 2k4 RSX monthly, you just gotta learn to live with it.
Honda/Acura has addressed the problem. Beyond replacing your ENTIRE transmission case, there is nothing they can do, that wont cost you extra money. If you dont like it, sell your car and get a different one. You can easily get your money back on a 2k4 RSX

By far, the RSX has been Car And Driver's top rated vehicle for 3 years. Peformance wise, its a great car. Beyond the sticky 2nd gear, I've never had any other complaints from it.
