Complaint Review: Acura Client Services

I purchased a used Acura, prior to the purchase I called Acura to verify the warranty. After giving the customer rep the VIN # I asked, "is the car under warranty", answer, YES. "Is the warranty transferable" answer, YES. Because of these answers I purchased the car.

The car a 3.2CL has a manufacturing defect in the tranny and the warranty is extended to 7 yr., 100,000 miles. I started to experience the known problems and brought the car in for a warranty repair. After two days in the shop I was informed that Acura had canceled the warranty because the car had questionable history??

I called Acura and explained that they told me I had a warranty and purchased the car based on their answers, and I was basically told tough luck, and I quote "we screwed up not our problem and we cannot and will not do anything". Really good customer service Acura. I thought Honda America was better than this.
