About four months ago my husband and I were seeking a rental home in Galveston area. We went on to Craigslist and found one for 650 a month.
We set up a meeting with the Russian owners larissa Ross and serge Ross.
we put a deposit to hold home and returned to retain the keys.
As soon as we handed our money over mind you they were still wearing the same clothing from the day before and hadn't bathed.
They left withthe money and didn't explain anything about the home to us. Things like bad wiring. Recalled and dangerous base heaters. Inadequate heating, cooling And refused to fix the wiring.g or supply us with no more than two heaters for a four bedroom home. One bedroom is actually a den but, legally they are liable. They have told us too bad you will live.
I am taking care of four babies under four and an 82 year old disabled veteran grandfather we need the heat. If grandfather gets sick. He has a high risk of not coming out of it. They try yo refer us to there property manager Adam musick whom has lied to us as well as threatened us with extortion he refuses yo answer his phone and we want the public to know that this is against the law and the way we were scammed is by nothing other than them being fully aware of these problems before we moved in
These are our lives. Adam musick and larissa and serge Ross are scammers.

Myname is Adam Musick. I am actually reading this for the first time as it was reported to me by a gentleman refered to me looking for something to rent. He was going on line as to try and find a web site for me. ( which i do not have). I have been managing property for almost 20 years and this is my first negative report i know of. In property management alot of times we become the bad guy.My reputation is important so I feel the need to address this complaint.
First of all, in this case, the owners chose the tenants after puting an ad of their own in Craigslist. The owner drew up the lease and I was hired to collect the rent andenforce the lease. Unfortuantly the house was a Beach house that was more of a weekend place than permant living. Because heaters are usually not needed in our climate, only a few electric heaters were on site. The trouble with this type of heater is that it uses very much amps and can easily blow a curcuit. Of course, tripping breakers is a scarey thing especially with kids. I was instructed by the owner to purchase two more heaters which I did at 150 dollars each. I guess it was not satisfactory for the tenants. Again, our climate is mostly warm and heaters are not needed in winter on a regular basis.
My final point here is that the best thing to do was probably do expensive electrical work to have designated cuircuits to run special heaters. In this case the owners just did not have the money to do so. I as a manager am caught in the middle. I can not force an owner to spend money as I am only their manager. An agreement was reached with the tenant and owners allowing the tenants to move and forgiving some rent.
I hope anyone reading this will understand my position. I can easily provide many happy tenants and owner referals if ever needed. For those tenants that left I wish them only the best for their family.- Adam Musick

A call from Adam musick to come to the agreement of allowing us to break the lease and To return our 650$ deposit upon moveout on the 1st. This is an update I will put a conclusion on the first.

I also think I need to list the following ;
1. 2 unlicensed electricians that were friends of the property manager Were sent to fix a major electrical issue. Illegal
2. It is illegal to not supply adequate heating and cooling for tenants in a Rental home.
3. It is not extortion to ask for the problems to be cured
4. Certified letters were sent to no avail!
5. It took 7 days and a call from the city building inspector For any electrician to show on his part.
6. After the call to the building inspector Adam refused to speak With us anymore as retaliation. Legally, property managers are supposed to be able to answer calls from tenants 24/7. Because of emergency's " like this one perhaps " we do have a right to know what is going on.
