Juliette Dinh has all the appearances of a serious professional but translators must beware. She will call you personally and will ask you to sit for a test translation, then she will flatter your work and ask you to sign an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) and a Purchase Order.

While you are working hard to finish by her deadline, she will inundate you with e-mails offering any help you might need by way of clarification and she will answer all your questions. But she will not pay you at the end. Don't trust her. If ever you decide to work for her, ask for a "safe" anticipated payment, but don't illude yourself that she will accept this.

She is such a nice person. Her e-mails are a pleasure to read. Her phone calls almost seductive. She has the cheek to ask you to translate whole books, promises heaven on earth, but will not pay at the end. When you send reminders, she will say that her client still hasn't paid up, even though that's her problem not yours. She will tell you she will inform you in due time.

I am prepared to take legal action against Juliette Dinh and her company if other victims join forces.
